MarknewestVersion is a firefox extension for marking the latest file version of a webpages file list. Example output:

You can either download markNewestVersion here or at https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/2451.

You know the problem. Often downloading the newest sources from http or ftp sites with files in different versions, like at linux-2.6, gcc or gimp-2.2.

The list happens to be not natsorted, which means, the latest version of a file is not at the bottom. Result: Headache.

Or, the files are named very likely, but are actually different, for example extensions to gcc.

The extension marks the latest version of the site.
